Connecting Rockspace WiFi Extender with Router

Method 1: Manual Rockspace WiFi Extender Setup

The manual Rockspace WiFi range extender setup will require you to access the web address and then use the Rockspace extender setup wizard for the network settings configuration. Here are the steps for the manual extender setup:

Step 1: The first step is to plug in the Rockspace WiFi range extender to the electrical outlet placed nearer to the home router.

Step 2: After that, open the Network and sharing center on your device whatever you are using and then connect your device to the Rockspace extender network.

Step 3: Open any web browser of your choice from your device. Type the default web address re.rockspace.local in the URL bar of the web browser. Click on the enter button. 

Note: If the above web address does not work for you then use the alternative method to access the Rockspace setup page i.e. the IP address 192.168.0.254.

Step 4: Now, you will be redirected to the Rockspec extender login webpage. If you are logging in for the first time on your Rockspace extender then the login page will prompt you to set a login password.

Step 5: Next, you need to specify the admin password or login password. Click on the next button to proceed further.

Step 6: Thereafter, you will ask you to choose a WiFi network with which you want to connect your Rockspace WiFi range extender.

Step 7: Choose the wireless network from the displayed list. Enter the key in the network password. 

Step 8: Tap on the Connect button. After that, you will see a pop-up message displayed on the screen saying Rockspace extender is set up successfully. 

Method 2: WiFi Protected Setup Method

The WiFi Protected setup method helps in setting up your printer wirelessly. Through the external button located on the side of the router and extender, you can start using the internet connection. Here are the steps that you need to perform for the Rockspace WiFi range extender setup using the WPS button:

Step 1: Firstly, plug-in your Rockspace WiFi range extender into the power outlet nearer to the wireless home router. 

Step 2: After that, turn on your Rockspace extender and the wireless router. Check whether the LED light on both devices starts blinking solid green or not.

Step 3: Next, press the WPS button on the router and check whether the WPS LED starts blinking or not. Once it starts blinking, release the WPS button. 

Step 4: Press the WPS button on your Rockspace extender within the two minutes. You will see the WPS LED on your Rockspace extender will start blinking.

Step 5: With these steps, both devices are connected to each other. Thereafter, you can move your extender to the place of your choice where you face dead spots.

Guidelines for Rockspace Range Extender Login

Step 1: The first step is to connect your Rockspace extender to your system whatever you are using. 

Step 2: After that, connect the extender with the WiFi to your mobile or computer.

Step 3: Open WiFi on your mobile or computer. Thereafter, start searching for the WiFi network named rockspace_ext. 

Step 4: Next, connect to the wireless network of your extender.

Step 5: Once your device has been connected successfully to the wireless network, open the internet browser and enter the IP address 192.168.0.254 or the web address re.rockspace.local in the address bar of the internet browser.

Step 6: Now, a Rockspace extender login page will open.

Step 7: Enter the login credentials details in the respective fields. Tap on the login button. It will redirect you to the Rockspace range extender dashboard.  

Step 8: After login to the extender, you can easily change the Rockspace extender settings according to your desire such as password, name and advanced settings of the network.
