  • Step 8: Now, take a look at the LED color Orbi satellite as the white solid light, in the beginning, will change to pulse magenta. The pulse magenta on the ring LED of the Orbi satellite blinks until the Orbi satellite syncs with the Orbi router.
  • Step 9: At last, one of the three colors will blink for 12 seconds after the magenta light glowing up on the ring of LEDs of the Orbi satellite and then turn off. These colors are Solid Magenta, Solid Blue, and Solid Amber.

Steps to Update Firmware on Orbi Setup

  • Step 1: Open an internet browser on your computer and enter http://downloadcenter.netgear.com in order to get the latest firmware for your Orbi WiFi extender.
  • Step 2: After that, save the file on your computer device.
  • Step 3: Next, tap on the “Manual Update”.
  • Step 4: In the next step, search for the model name of your Orbi WiFi extender and select the checkbox that it gives along with it.
  • Step 5: Tap on the “Update” button.
